Come and enjoy a summery Friday evening on Raki’s Kotka Island. Relax in the gentle suds of the beach saunas and take a dip in the sea water. Relax in the beauty of the summer evening and nature. Dinner is pork in the spirit of the Viking. 

Rak’s Kotka Island is a unique, authentic Viking island, combining the peace of nature, the mystique of Viking history and the hospitality of the host family. 

The guided sea voyage is aboard a traditional wooden pleasure boat, the m/s Whalla. Already during the trip you will enjoy the enchanting scenery with an experienced skipper. This is the perfect summer evening excursion for relaxing, indulging and being together.

  • Date: on Fridays from 4.7.2025 to 18.7. 2025. Arrival at the departure pier at 16:30 AM, return at 24:00 PM.

  • Parking: free parking next to the departure pier.
  • Public transport: from the nearest bus stop about 800 m, from Hamina bus station about 1 km.

Timetable

  • 16.30 Welcome to ms Walhalla.
  • 17.00 ms Walhalla departs from Tervasaari pier (address Tullimakasiiniranta 9, Hamina).
  • 18.00 After about an hour at sea we will land at the Rakin Kotka Island. You will be welcomed
  • to the island by the host/hostess.
  • 19.00-21.00 pork dinner
  • 20.00-22.00 sauna
  • 21.00-23.00 possibility to walk around the nature trail, admire the sunset, sit by the fire, enjoy the summer nature, possibility of extra charge activities.
  • 23.00 ms Walhalla departs Rakin Kotka Island back towards Hamina.
  • 24.00 return to Tervasaari departure pier.

Good to know before participating

  • Not suitable for people with reduced mobility
  • Price includes: guided round trip by sea, pork dinner (G, L), salad, bread (also G on request), jug of water, coffee/tea, small sweet (also G on request) and sauna.
  • Refreshments, alcoholic beverages, grilled sausages, marshmallows and other snacks available for purchase.
  • Outdoor clothing and footwear according to weather conditions

Booking conditions

Reservations must be made online at least 2 days in advance, after which reservations can be made by phone.

Cancellations must be made at least 48 h before the start of the trip.

A booking confirmation will be sent by e-mail immediately after the purchase decision and will serve as a ticket.
