Fishing adventures in the Gulf of Finland

Our fishing guides live and breathe fishing – their passion has shaped them into true professionals. Their enthusiasm is reflected in their eagerness to share the latest fishing techniques and create memorable experiences for every guest.

For our guides, fishing is more than just a job – in their free time, they head out onto the water for their own enjoyment or compete in fishing tournaments, constantly refining their skills.

Our guides have extensive experience, having led hundreds of fishing trips. Each boat is equipped with all necessary safety gear.

Designed specifically for sport fishing, our boats are maneuvered silently and precisely at fishing spots using electric bow motors. They are equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, featuring multiple screens to track both lures and fish in real-time, taking the fishing experience to an entirely new level.

On our fishing trips, the primary focus is, of course, on the fish. However, the breathtaking nature of the archipelago is an experience in itself. During the trip, we navigate through the stunning seascapes of Hamina and Kotka, with a break for refreshments either on Vimpa Island’s private mainland shore or at the exclusive Rakinkotka Island.

Rakinkotkan yksityissaari toimii kalastusmatkojen tukikohtana ja se sijaitsee noin 10 minuutin venematkan päässä Vimpasaaren mantereen satamasta.

For guest use, we provide boots, flotation suits, sunglasses, life vests, beanies, and gloves. However, we recommend bringing personal outdoor clothing suited to the weather for the best comfort and fit.

Sauna & Accommodation

For evening relaxation and accommodation, guests can choose between Vimpa Island’s mainland facilities or the exclusive Rakinkotka Private Island, just a 10-minute boat ride away. Both locations feature a hot tub, and Rakinkotka boasts a unique smoke sauna.

Weather permitting, transport to Rakinkotka is arranged via fishing guide boats. In windy conditions, a larger vessel ensures a safe and comfortable journey.

Dinner Options

  • Viking-style dinner at Rakinkotka
  • Archipelago dinner at Vimpa Island
  • Whenever possible, we prepare meals using freshly caught fish.

Our Commitment

We adhere to sustainable tourism and fishing principles. Undersized and trophy-sized fish are released, while responsibly harvested medium-sized fish are prepared for meals.

We prioritize local and homegrown ingredients, including herbs from our own garden, handpicked mushrooms, and eggs from our own hens. Additionally, we source high-quality local bakery products.

Sustainability is a key value for us: we recycle and generate our own electricity at Rakinkotka Island. We have been awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label as recognition of our commitment to responsible tourism.

Backup Plan for Windy Weather

We have alternative departure locations in nearby areas to ensure a smooth and safe fishing trip, even if the scheduled day happens to be windy.
